Where is Cadmium chloride found?

Cadmium chloride is a reagent used in chemistry. It is also used in electroplating of cadmium in electronic circuits and as a precursor to the pigment cadmium sulfide. In patch testing cadmium chloride is used to diagnose cadmium contact allergy. Cadmium and cadmium compounds may be found in motor oil and auto wax and as pigments in oil colors. In the past cadmium was used in jewelry as part of an alloy for soldering (permitted in the EU since 2011).
