This substance is found in antibiotics, solid fuel tablets used for cooking while camping or hiking, rubber/textile adhesives, paints, lacquers, photography products, and in the production of deodorants and hair products. It is used as a preservative in cheeses, in test carpets for fire-protection, and as a hardening component to binders such as brake and clutch linings, abrasive products, nonwoven textiles, and fireproof materials.
