Lichen Acid Mix is a potent antibiotic used to treat gram-negative bacteria. It is also found in pharmaceutical preparations including: anti-inflammatory and anti-bacterial medications, and is also used as a preservative found in some perfumes and cosmetic products. Characteristics such as ultraviolet absorption, anti-herbivore and anti-insect properties, have also been demonstrated.
